SPONSOR A FILM TO SUPPORT A CHARITY

In the current economic times, companies have been forced to cut down on advertising, but also on their charity work. Funk Productions is offering a service that combines marketing strategies for the private sector, outreach for local charities and promotes the development of the visual arts in the Island.

This innovative idea consists of two different options:

1.- Sponsor a Documentary
Between £ 18,000 and £ 40,000

2.- Sponsor a Short Film
Between £ 3,000 and £ 10,000

OPTION 1

Sponsor a Documentary

Funk Productions is seeking a company interested in giving financial support to film the documentary  “600 Miles From Home”, a film about the Polish Community in Jersey and their role in the society.

This interesting way of “indirect marketing” is credible and effective for the general public, who will associate the company with an interesting, positive and creative initiative.

The documentary will expand the cultural offer available for education and tourism, will open a window between cultures and will help to expand the image of Jersey and its multicultural society to the international market.

The DVD could be available in souvenir shops and heritage sites. It could also be an interesting corporate gift.

Once the film is ready, the Avant Premiere is the perfect opportunity for a glamorous “Hollywood Style” fund raising dinner. The money raised will go to support the work of Jersey National Trust, institution that preserves the historic and natural environment of the Island.

OPTION 2

Sponsor a short film

Direct advertising is expensive, limited and not credible for the general public. People don’t trust self-promotion, they believe actions and social commitment. Charity events are a good way to achieve this, but these single events don’t last in people’s minds, only long-lasting products can achieve this goal.

Companies need to be visually present and charities need to promote their work in order to receive funds and support.  We invite you to sponsor a short film to promote a charity of your choice.

OGIER, a great example

In 2008, OGIER, a leading legal and fiduciary services provider, sponsored a short film intended to encourage people in Jersey to re-home animals from the Animal Shelter (JSPCA) and donate funds and resources. Already one of Ogier employees’ chosen charities for 2008, the firm was happy to support the production of this educational film.

There has been a great response to the film, which was sent by the Education Department to all 45 schools on the Island.

The DVD will be shown in a wide range of venues across the Island, including the Arts Centre, Jersey Tourism Information Office,  and the Shelter’s reception. New Era Vets are looking into uploading it onto their website and Cineworld have agreed to show the film for a month on Saturday mornings.
