ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

Funk Productions provides  highly professional services,  have a strong environmental commitment and a vision to build a better future.

We have proved track record in filming for conservation and in developing awareness campaigns for the protection of endangered species. We are currently working in partnership with the environmental consultancy Nature Heritage.

A good example is the TV Series “Stories of Payne Nguru”, based on the Darwin Initiative project about the Darwin’s Fox.  Other example is the documentary “Voices of The Huasco Salar”, which shows the biodiversity of a Ramsar site, filmed with the support of the transnational mining company, Collahuasi.

Our last enviromental project  was part of a Darwin Initiative Programme in the Island of Hispaniola  (Haiti- Dominican Republic)
. Our mission was to give training to local communities and scientists  to produce a joint video to encourage the protection of the selenodon and the hutia, two rare mammals. The result is a series of 4 short films which are being used for their environmental education campaign.
